Rangers loan star Ryan Kent has lifted the lid on his inspiration in the game and someone he still tries to imitate.

Kent, who made the switch to Rangers on a loan deal from Liverpool last summer, has enjoyed a memorable debut campaign in the Scottish Premiership this season.

The 22-year-old’s performances have tempted Rangers to try and pursue another deal to extend his stay at Ibrox ahead of the summer transfer window.

And in the wake of his impressive displays for the Old Firm giants, Kent has revealed the player he looked up to as a young footballer during his formative years.

The Liverpool loanee admitted that Ronaldinho was his favourite player while growing up and admits that he still tries to model his game on the Brazilian.

Kent also admired the way in which Ronaldinho used to play with a smile on his face and brought a lot of enjoyment to the people watching him on the pitch.

“Ronaldinho [was my favourite player when I was a child], easily”, Kent told Rangers TV.
