Former Leeds United star Dominic Matteo has issued a rallying call to the Whites fans ahead of their crucial playoff semi-final second leg clash against Derby County this evening.

The Whites will host Derby in the second leg of their playoff semi-final tie at Elland Road, after their 1-0 win over the Rams at Pride Park last week.

Marcelo Bielsa’s men have won all their games against Derby in the Championship this term and will be aiming to maintain that run at Elland Road this evening.

And ahead of their hugely significant second leg clash against the Rams, Matteo has issued a rallying call to the Leeds fans by urging them to make Elland Road bounce during the game.

“See you all later, let’s get Elland Road bouncing”, Matteo wrote on Twitter.

In addition to the message from Matteo, Leeds were also received a vote of support from another former player in the shape of Ben Parker.

The former Whites defender urged Leeds to bank on togetherness and have no regrets during the second leg, while also insisting it will be a special atmosphere at Elland Road this evening.

“Togetherness and have no regrets.

"Going to be a special atmosphere tonight”, Parker posted on Twitter.

Leeds will face Aston Villa in the playoff final at Wembley, if they manage to beat Derby on aggregate at the end of the second leg.

The Whites have failed to return to the Premier League since suffering relegation in 2004.
