On loan Watford attacker Dodi Lukebakio has emerged on RB Leipzig’s radar as a possible replacement for Timo Werner.

Watford loaned out the attacker to Fortuna Dusseldorf last summer and he has turned heads this season with his performances in the Bundesliga.

Several German clubs are considering making a move for Belgian, with Schalke believed to be considering signing him during the summer transfer window.

However, Lukebakio’s performances in Germany have also piqued the interest of another big German club and there are suggestions RB Leipzig are tracking the Watford man.

According to German magazine Sport Bild, he is one of the forwards the club are keeping a close watch on as a possible replacement for Werner.

The striker will enter the final year of his contract at RB Leipzig this summer and his agent already has a deal in place for him to join Bayern Munich in the coming months.

No agreement is in place between the two clubs, but RB Leipzig are putting plans in place if they are forced to sell the striker.
