RB Leipzig are tipped to be unlikely to be able to financially compete with other potential suitors in the race for Tottenham Hotspur linked Ryan Sessegnon during the summer transfer window.

Sessegnon, who helped Fulham clinch promotion back to the Premier League during the 2017/18 season, made 35 appearances in the top flight this term.

Despite being unable to prevent Fulham from suffering relegation to the Championship, Sessegnon caught the eye of several clubs with his performances at Craven Cottage.

The 18-year-old’s rise to prominence in west London did not go unnoticed, with Premier League giants Tottenham and Manchester United keeping tabs on his future at Fulham.

In addition to interest from the Premier League duo, Sessegnon has also popped up on the radar of Paris Saint-Germain and RB Leipzig ahead of the summer transfer window.

However, according to German outlet Fussball Transfers, RB Leipzig are unlikely to be able to financially compete with the other potential suitors in the race for Sessegnon.

It is also claimed that Sessegnon prefers to remain in England rather than relocating to another country at the minute.

As such, the German outfit are unlikely to be Sessegnon’s next destination, as he moves closer to the exit door at Craven Cottage.

Sessegnon, who came up through the ranks at Fulham, has a contract with the club that runs until the summer of 2020.

He has featured prominently across various age groups for England.
