Derby County's players have mocked Leeds United over the spygate saga after putting the Whites out in the Championship playoffs.

Leeds beat Derby 1-0 in the first leg of the semi-final tie at Pride Park last weekend and were expected to make short work of a side they had beaten in all three meetings when the two lined up at Elland Road this evening.

But Derby started well and, though stunned by a Leeds goal against the run of play, recovered to win a thrilling game 4-2 on the night and progress 4-3 on aggregate.

Leeds were fined for sending a spy to watch Derby train earlier this season in what became known as the spygate saga.

And after the win, Derby's players mocked Leeds spying on them by making binocular signs to their celebrating fans at Elland Road.

Derby now move into the playoff final at the end of the month, where they will face Aston Villa for a place in the Premier League.

Leeds meanwhile must prepare for another season of Championship football.
