Juventus have placed a contract offer on Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur target Adrien Rabiot’s table, as they seek to tempt him into a summer switch to Turin.

The Frenchman has not played football since the end of last year when it became clear that he would not be signing a new contract with Paris Saint-Germain.

The midfielder is available on a free transfer this summer and several clubs are lining up to snap him up in the transfer window.

Barcelona have backed out of the race after offering him a contract, but Manchester United and Tottenham have both been linked with wanting him.

Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici has been in talks with his representatives as well and, according to Turin-based Italian daily Tuttosport, Rabiot has received terms from the Italian champions.

The Bianconeri have offered a contract worth €6m per year, which could go up to €8m based on performance based add-ons and bonuses.

However, it is still short of the player’s initial demands of a €10m per year contract from his suitors.
