Fenerbache have made a proposal to Atletico Madrid for a player plus cash deal involving Tottenham Hotspur target Eljif Elmas and Nikola Kalinic.

Elmas, who joined Fenerbahce in the summer of 2017, is in high demand ahead of the fast approaching summer transfer window in Europe.

The Macedonia international has attracted interest from Tottenham and Atletico Madrid in recent weeks, while Lazio have already failed with an offer of €15m for his services.

Spurs are keen on adding to their squad next season and have identified Elmas as a potential candidate to join their ranks, now that the transfer window in England is open to do business.

However, according to Turkish daily Sabah, Fenerbahce have offered Elmas to another one of his potential suitors in Atletico Madrid in a player-plus-cash deal.

It is claimed the Turkish giants are demanding €10m plus the services of veteran striker Kalinic in exchange of Elmas making the switch to the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.

Despite slapping a €20m price-tag on Elmas amidst interest from several European clubs, it now seems like Fenerbahce are willing to strike a deal, if they can rope in a replacement in Kalinic.

However, the Super Lig outfit are still waiting for a response from Atletico Madrid in a bid to take the next step.

As such, Spurs may not be entirely out of the race for Elmas, especially if Fenerbahce fail to reach an agreement with Atletico Madrid.

The 19-year-old has scored just three goals from 28 appearances in the Super Lig, in what transpired to be a forgetful season for Fenerbahce.
