Rangers assistant manager Gary McAllister has revealed he will be watching Liverpool in Madrid in the Champions League final and feels it will be tough on the fans who do not get the opportunity to go.

Jurgen Klopp’s men secured their berth in the Champions League final for the second time in a row after a spectacular comeback win over Barcelona in a semi-final tie that finished 4-3 on aggregate.

As such, the Reds will now battle it out against Tottenham Hotspur in an all Premier League final in the Champions League for the first time since 2008.

And ahead of Rangers’ final game of the season against Kilmarnock this Sunday, former Reds midfielder McAllister has revealed his plans to travel to watch Liverpool in action against Spurs in Madrid next month.

The former Reds midfielder admitted he is keeping his fingers crossed for a Liverpool win after sourcing his ticket to watching the final at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.

McAllister also feels the limitations in the number of tickets available for the Liverpool fans will be tough on anyone who misses out on the opportunity to watch it at the stadium despite following the entire campaign.

“Fingers crossed, I will be at the [Champions League] final in Madrid, I think I've managed to source my ticket”, McAllister said in a press conference.
