Developments over whether Marcelo Bielsa will stay at Leeds United into next season are expected next week.

Despite missing out on promotion to the Premier League, Leeds are expected to be keen to keep Bielsa at the club next season.

Leeds chairman Andrea Radrizzani has confirmed that the head coach already has plans for the future and there are signs that the Argentine will continue at Elland Road.

Bielsa is also angling towards staying at Leeds, but a final decision has not been made on whether he will continue in west Yorkshire.

According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, the two sides are expected to talk, with developments tipped to come next week.

Leeds are likely to be keen to sort out Bielsa’s future as soon as possible and plan for next season following a campaign where they made progress.

Radrizzani will be looking for Leeds to push for automatic promotion next season and Bielsa's presence could be key.

It remains to be seen what kind of assurances Bielsa will seek from the club before he agrees to stay at Elland Road.
