Andy Halliday believes the change in mentality within the Rangers dressing room has fostered a better environment around the players heading into next season.

Steven Gerrard’s men will play their final game of the season on Sunday, when they lock horns with Kilmarnock at Rugby Park in the Scottish Premiership.

The Gers are currently on a six-game winning streak and will be eyeing adding another scalp to their list at Kilmarnock, following their impressive win over Celtic last weekend.

Despite failing to clinch silverware this term, Rangers will want to finish with a flourish and head into pre-season preparations for next season with seven consecutive wins.

And ahead of their final game of the ongoing season, Halliday believes the change in mentality within the Rangers dressing room has created a better environment for the players.

The Gers defender also conceded the expectation to win every week is massive at Ibrox, but stressed Rangers are excited for next season after making huge progress under Gerrard this term.

“I think you play for your future every week, at this club the expectation to win every week is massive”, Halliday told a press conference.
