Watford star Abdoulaye Doucoure has conceded that he is open to offers to leave Vicarage Road this summer and wants to continue playing in the Premier League.

The 26-year-old midfielder has been an impressive performer in the Premier League over the last three years and has several clubs on his trail.

Paris Saint-Germain have been keeping tabs on him and the player did admit that he is prepared to consider offers to leave Watford in the summer transfer window.

But Doucoure made it clear that he would prefer to stay in the Premier League as he believes it is the best league for him to display his range of talent.

Playing in the Champions League is also on his radar but the Frenchman indicated that he would not want to force a move out of Watford this summer despite wanting to leave.

Doucoure insisted that he would not mind spending one more season at Watford.

He told French sports daily L’Equipe: “I would like to stay in the Premier League, I think this is the best league to show my qualities.

“After that, it depends on offers, it depends on many things but I am open.

“Playing in the Champions League is a dream for any player, not just me.”

He added: “If something happens, then good, otherwise I’ll be happy with the Watford shirt.

“I have given everything for three seasons and if I stay for one more season, I’ll be happy.

“Everyone knows that what I want but it doesn’t necessarily happen as you wish.”
