Watford defender Daryl Janmaat has not ruled out the possibility of returning to Feyenoord in the summer transfer window.

The Dutchman moved to England in 2014 when Newcastle United signed him from Feyenoord following an impressive World Cup with the Netherlands, where they finished third.

Janmaat moved clubs again two years later when he joined Watford and he has been a key part of the squad at Vicarage Road over the last three seasons.

But the defender stressed that returning to Feyenoord and winning one more trophy with his former club is something he would want to do by the time he hangs up his boots.

And the 30-year-old indicated that he would not shy away from considering a transfer back to his former club this summer if there is an opportunity.

“Winning another trophy with Feyenoord would complete the picture”, the Watford star told Dutch daily the Algemeen Dagblad.

“I read that the club must first sell players in order to even think about signing new ones.

“We’ll see, it is only May.

“But of course, I regularly think of Feyenoord.”

Janmaat, who has made 18 Premier League appearances this season, has a contract until the end of next season with the Hornets.
