Everton winger Yannick Bolasie has a novel way of using his British car to get into training at Belgian giants Anderlecht, but it recently backfired.

The wide-man joined Anderlecht on loan until the end of the season in the January transfer window, but rather than lease a car with left hand drive, his stuck with his British right hand drive motor.

It threatened to pose a problem when it came to accessing Anderlecht's training base as the club have a fingerprint scanner on the left side of the driveway.

Bolasie could have got into the habit of getting out of his car and walking round to the scanner, before walking back and then driving through the barrier.

But, according to Belgian daily Het Laatste Nieuws, Bolasie instead reverses towards the barrier, putting himself on the correct side of the fingerprint scanner.

He can then avoid getting out of his car and reverse through the barrier.

However, things did not go according to plan recently as earlier this week, Bolasie reversed too quickly and hit the gate.

Bolasie looks unlikely to have to cope with the fingerprint scanner issue next season as Anderlecht are not willing to meet Everton's €8m asking price.

The 29-year-old is not short of interest however, with Newcastle United and Southampton having been linked.
