Roma are not interested in considering taking Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa to the Italian capital as their new coach this summer.

Bielsa and Leeds are yet to confirm whether he will continue at Elland Road next season after a campaign where the Whites just fell short of earning promotion to the Premier League.

The Whites are hopeful of convincing the Argentine to stay at Leeds for next season, but other clubs have already been linked with wanting the Italian.

Celta Vigo are reportedly keen on appointing Bielsa, and there have been suggestions that even Roma are interested in the current Leeds boss.

But according to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport, Bielsa is unlikely to be in the home dugout at the Stadio Olimpico next season despite the contrary claims.

His name was proposed to the Roma hierarchy as their possible new coach by advisor Franco Baldini, but they have shown little interest in pursuing the Leeds boss.

Bielsa is yet to make a decision on his Leeds future but is claimed to be angling towards continuing at Elland Road.

Leeds will be looking to boost their hopes of promotion by hanging on to the 63-year-old.
