Celtic boss Neil Lennon has hailed Karamoko Dembele's ability to get the fans off their feet, claiming the Celtic faithful enjoyed a "glimpse of the future" on Sunday. 

The Scottish champions welcomed Hearts to Celtic Park for their final Scottish Premiership game of the season on Sunday afternoon. 

 



With the upcoming Scottish Cup final in mind, Lennon chose to rest a number of his first-team players in the final game of the season, allowing some of the reserves and bench-warmers a chance to impress. 

Mikey Johnston scored a brace to lead Celtic to a 2-1 win, but it was the young Dembele who kept the fans on the edge of their seats.  
 


The teen was full of tricks and courage, keeping the opposition defenders on their toes throughout the second half of the match. 



After the match, Lennon discussed the second-half substitute's impressive debut, claiming the fans saw a "glimpse of the future." 

Speaking at a press conference, via BBC Scotland, he said: "He gets the crowd off their feet with his football intelligence

"Obviously we need to keep a lid on it, but it's great that the fans have seen the glimpse of the future. 

"The kid is 16 and we just want to develop him in the right way.

"He has been training with the first team and I had no hesitation giving him 45 minutes."

Celtic once again take on Hearts in the Scottish Cup final on 25th May.
