Juventus president Andrea Agnelli has directly been in touch with Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri to probe his availability this summer, it has been claimed.

Sarri has emerged as Juventus’ top target to replace Massimiliano Allegri and the club are pushing forward with their attempts to appoint him.

However, the Italian’s future at Chelsea remains unresolved and the Blues are only expected to make a decision on him after the Europa League final at the end of the month.

Juventus are keen on the former Napoli coach and, according to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport, club president Agnelli has directly called Sarri to probe the possibility of taking him to Turin.

The Chelsea boss has informed the Italian champions that he is solely focused on the Europa League final at the moment.

But Sarri is interested in the Juventus job and will consider becoming Allegri’s successor next season.

Chelsea are reportedly ready to let Sarri join Juventus if the Bianconeri are prepared to pay £5m compensation.
