Juventus have conducted a meeting with the agent of Tottenham Hotspur target Nicolo Zaniolo to reiterate their desire to sign the young attacking midfielder from Roma this summer.

The 19-year-old has enjoyed a breakthrough season at Roma and has been heavily linked with a move away from the capital during the summer transfer window.

Roma are desperate to hold on to him and are prepared to offer him a new contract in order to keep the youngster at the Stadio Olimpico next season.

Tottenham have probed the possibility of signing him and Juventus have been putting in the legwork over the last few months to make sure they snare Zaniolo away from Roma.

According to Italian daily Tuttosport, Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici recently met Claudio Vigorelli, the agent of the 19-year-old attacking midfielder, to discuss a possible transfer.

The Italian champions have reiterated their desire to take Zaniolo to Turin this summer.

Roma remain hopeful that the player will put pen to paper on a new deal soon in order to end the speculation over his future, at least for this summer.

But until then the Giallorossi are expected to remain in fear of losing Zaniolo in the coming months.
