Leeds United supremo Andrea Radrizzani has revealed the coming days will be decisive in the club's talks with Marcelo Bielsa over him remaining as head coach.

Bielsa was lauded for his work at Leeds over the course of the season, but a run of inconsistent results towards the business end of the campaign meant the Whites missed out on promotion.

It has been claimed Bielsa is happy to stay for another tilt at promotion from the Championship, but the Argentine has been holding talks with Leeds.

And Radrizzani admits that the coming days will be key over deciding whether or not Bielsa stays.

He told talkSPORT: "We have the chance to keep him…The next few days are decisive.

"We have an option until the end of the month.

"We are talking with him and we have a few things to clarify, but then we will make public our decision."

Leeds can activate an option to extend Bielsa's contract at Elland Road for a further 12 months, but are unlikely to do so if the Argentine indicates he is not happy to continue.

Bielsa may want to make sure he is on the same page as Leeds in terms of the transfer budget and targets for the coming campaign.
