Toulouse defender Christopher Jullien has been in constant touch with the Celtic coaching staff and has been seduced by the prospect of playing for the Scottish champions.

Celtic are closing in on a move for the 26-year-old centre-back and are expected to complete the deal to sign him in the coming days.

They have already agreed on a fee in the region of €8m with Toulouse and have also thrashed out personal terms on a contract with the player’s representatives.

Jullien has been taking an active part in pushing for the move and it has been claimed that he has been seduced by the idea of playing for Celtic next season.

According to French sports daily L’Equipe, the defender has been in touch with the Celtic hierarchy and their coaching staff to discuss a move to Scotland.

With Celtic looking to qualify for the Champions League, Jullien believes he will be at a solid club where he will be able to express himself completely.

The Frenchman is expected to travel to Scotland soon to undergo a medical and complete the move to Celtic.
