Fixture: Preston North End vs Manchester City
Competition: EFL Cup
Kick-off: 19:45 (UK time)

Manchester City have confirmed their side and substitutes to play Championship outfit Preston North End in the third round of the EFL Cup at Deepdale tonight.

Pep Guardiola's side returned to winning ways in empathic fashion at the weekend as they ruthlessly crushed Watford 8-0 in the Premier League.

The Citizens won the EFL Cup last term and Guardiola will not want his team to suffer another setback after dropping five points in the Premier League already.

Manchester City remain without centre-backs John Stones and Aymeric Laporte.

Claudio Bravo slots in between the sticks, while at the back Guardiola picks young defender Taylor Harwood-Bellis, along with Eric Garcia. Joao Cancelo also plays, while Ilkay Gundogan is in midfield. Phil Foden, David Silva and Bernardo Silva also get the vote to play, while Raheem Sterling supports Gabriel Jesus.

If the former Barcelona coach needs to change things he has a bench full of options, including Nicolas Otamendi and Rodrigo.
