Swedish top flight side IFK Norrkoping are in danger of being priced out of a move to sign West Ham United starlet Sead Haksabanovic on a permanent basis.

The 20-year-old is currently on loan in Sweden with Norrkoping and the club have been impressed by his upturn in form in recent weeks.

Norrkoping are interested in signing Haksabanovic on a permanent basis and West Ham are willing to sell the attacking midfielder.

However, according to Swedish daily SportExpressen, West Ham have slapped a £1.6m asking price on the player's head.

The price is a high one for Norrkoping and the club face competition from Italian Serie A outfit Fiorentina.

The Italian club have scouted Haksabanovic in Norrkoping's last three games as they run the rule over him as a potential signing.

Haksabanovic is under contract at West Ham until the summer of 2022 and he is due to remain on loan in Sweden until next summer.
