Former Liverpool striker Neil Mellor believes Trent Alexander-Arnold is the most creative player in Jurgen Klopp's current Reds squad.
The 21-year-old right-back starred for the Merseyside-based club yet again in their 2-1 victory against Aston Villa in the Premier League at the weekend.
In what was his 100th appearance for Liverpool, Alexander-Arnold registered three shots and three key passes against the Villans and provided the assist for Sadio Mane's winner in added time in the second half.
The Liverpool-born player has provided 22 assists from his 100 appearances for the club and ex-Reds man Mellor believes the right-back is the side's most creative player at the moment.
The 36-year-old went on to point out how much of an influential player Alexander-Arnold has become for Klopp's Liverpool side.
"I think a lot of you would have been thinking 'well, how many assists does he have?'" Mellor said on LFC TV.
"There you go, there's the numbers for you – 22 [assists from 100 appearances] and I certainly think the majority of those have been in the last 50 appearances or so haven't they, for Liverpool?
"Absolutely outstanding. Becoming a real influential player.
"Most creative player we have in the team and he is at right-back."
Alexander-Arnold has scored one goal and provided four assists across all competitions for Liverpool so far this season.
