Leeds United are set to suffer another blow in next month's transfer window, with Arsenal likely to take Eddie Nketiah back to the Emirates Stadium, according to The Athletic.

The 20-year-old striker is yet to make a league start for Leeds this season, with Marcelo Bielsa preferring Patrick Bamford over him.

Nketiah has looked to make an impact from the bench whenever he has come on, but has struggled to change Bielsa’s mind over giving him an opportunity to start in the Championship.

Arsenal have been concerned about the young striker's lack of game time and were believed to be considering their options ahead of the window.

Now it appears a decision has been made as sources close to Nketiah have indicated that Arsenal are likely to trigger the right of recall in the loan deal.

The player’s camp believe the Gunners will take him back to the Emirates after watching him spend most of the first half of the season at Leeds sitting on the bench.

Arsenal could choose to loan Nketiah back to a Championship club with Bristol City interested in trying their luck again after losing out to Leeds in the summer.
