Swansea City youngster Kees de Boer is ADO Den Haag bound after reaching an agreement with the Dutch side.

The highly rated midfielder is out of contract at the Liberty Stadium this summer and has opted to make the move back to his homeland to continue his development.

The 20-year-old and ADO Den Haag now have a verbal agreement, according to Dutch broadcaster Omroep West.

De Boer is expected to sign on the dotted line soon to complete a move to the Cars Jeans Stadium.

The Swansea star turned out for the club in the EFL Cup against Northampton Town earlier this season, while he featured for the Welsh giants on a regular basis in the Premier League 2.

A midfielder by trade, De Boer spent time in the youth ranks at Ajax before opting to continue his development within Swansea's youth set-up in 2017.

He is now heading back to the Netherlands to kick on with his senior career after being convinced by the project on offer from ADO Den Haag.
