Bayern Munich will square off against Hamburg in the Bundesliga season opener at the Allianz Arena on the 14th of August.

The Bavarians, who finished as champions last season, will hope for another title tilt next season under Spanish manager Pep Guardiola, who has already won back-to-back titles with the club.

They are away to Hoffenheim on the second matchday before facing Bayer Leverkusen and local rivals Augsburg in successive home games.

The 25-time German champions will face last season’s runners-up Wolfsburg at home on the weekend of September 22nd/23rd while the return match at the Volkswagen Arena is scheduled for February next year.

The Reds will play at home in the league after five of their six Champions League group stage games.

The Bundesliga’s scheduling of matches is determined on an ongoing basis in the course of the season, mainly to accommodate the top clubs’ Champions League and Europa League commitments.
