The main concern for Udinese at this stage of the season is trying to steer clear of the relegation zone. Five points above the relegation places is not enough by far and the club from Udine require a good few more wins to make sure of Serie A football next season. There is nothing to suggest that they can't do that, and while the 0-0 draw away to second bottom Atalanta will be seen as a missed opportunity, it wasn't a bad result. Udinese will remember beating Palermo here 3-1 last season.

Palermo begin this match in a totally different situation from that of the hosts. Sitting fourth in the table, the Champions League is a real possibility for Delio Rossi's side. The pressure of that race may be beginning to show a little though. Last weekend's over third from bottom Livorno was laboured and came through an 80th minute goal. More than 1-0 was expected, but three points is three points, something Palermo also could do with here, especially with Juventus and Sampdoria breathing down their necks.

Spain La Liga

Racing Santander will know just how big this game is. With Real Zaragoza sitting below them by a single point in 17th, a win for the visitors would seem the leapfrog the hosts. Both sides have a five and six point cushion over the relegation spots respectively, but that could soon turn into thin air if Tenerife and Valladolid especially are able to put some sort of run together. Santander will be in good spirits here, coming off the back of a 0-0 draw away to Valencia. Goals are what have been the problem recently though.

Real Zaragoza will see a good chance to climb the table here, and their form isn't so bad. A 1-1 home draw with Atletico Madrid last weekend was a good result, but in truth Zaragoza could and should have won the game, conceding a late 90th minute goal to the Madrid side. Before that a visit to Getafe yielded a 2-0 win, good stuff against a side 9th in the league. This should be a tense game, but Zaragoza go into it as the form side.

It's hard to see Santander scoring many goals, so if Zaragoza can score they would look good to certainly avoid defeat. Try Zaragoza +0.25 Asian Handicap at 1.95 with Tip-ex

Genoa managed a creditable 0-0 draw at Internazionale last weekend, but even so, find themselves behind their visitors. Both Genoa and Cagliari have genuine hopes of taking a European spot, and even a Champions League place is not beyond them. Genoa have the ability to score goals by the bucketload and concede them too, which is what made the keeping of a clean sheet against Inter so unusual. Here at home they can be expected to attack and have beaten Cagliari in their last three meetings here.

Cagliari are a good side and especially going forward. Earlier in the season the southern Italian side beat Genoa 3-2 when they hosted them. The problem with Cagliari is that they can lose concentration at crucial times and ship goals. Recent form has dipped a little, and the draw at home to lowly Catania ended a run of two straight defeats. However, it is certain that the home side would have hoped to pick up three points. They should be confident of scoring here though.

There should be some goals in this game and if you can secure a price of 1.75 or above for Over 2.5 goals that is worth taking. Look for the best odds with Tip-ex

Germany Bundesliga

Hertha Berlin, despite bringing in a number of new players over the January transfer window, have not looked like putting a run together that would lift them off the bottom of the league. While the capital club have become harder to beat, their 3-0 away win to Freiburg in late February has been followed by a 4-0 Europa League loss and two Bundesliga defeats. This game should be nervy for the home side as it is a crucial match against a fellow relegation battler.

Nurnberg gave their survival chances a real boost last weekend with an impressive win over high-flying Bayer Levekusen. The 3-2 win was all the better for the fact that Nurnberg went 3-0 up, and despite conceding two goals managed to hang on. It's three games unbeaten now for the Franconian club and they are looking like putting a little run together. Nurnberg saw off Hertha 3-0 earlier in the season, but this will surely be much harder.

Hertha are far too favoured by the bookmakers. Much better is to take Nurnberg on the +0.25 Asian Handicap, which can be widely found for around 2.10 at Tip-ex

Germany Bundesliga

Borussia Monchengladbach went down 3-0 away to Dortmund last weekend, but before that had enjoyed a nice little run, with just one defeat in seven games. That form helped them to lower mid-table and a 10 point cushion over the drop zone. Their work is far from done though and more points will surely be needed. The Dortmund loss must be shrugged off and for all Gladbach's inconsistent form, the visitors, reigning champions Wolfsburg, lead them by just four points.

Wolfburg would be forgiven for arriving here a little tired. The champions played a Europa League match deep inside Russia, against Rubin Kazan, on Thursday, but now must return to Bundesliga action. While Wolfsburg are just nine points off 6th place, it is hard to see them finding the form which would grab a European spot for next season in their remaining nine games. The season seems to be chugging along towards a mid-table uninspiring finish for the champions.

With Wolfsburg possibly being a little tired, and Gladbach no pushovers at home, taking the hosts on the 0 Asian Handicap (Draw No Bet) is a good option at 2.00 and over 2.5 look good too. Best prices with Tip-ex

England Premier League

Hull come into this game off the back of a 5-1 thrashing at Everton last weekend. Phil Brown's side are deep in the relegation mire and it is likely a home game against Arsenal wouldn't have been on their wishlist after the Goodison Park debacle. There is no doubt that Hull are in a poor run of form, but they make take heart from their meeting here with Arsenal last season which, although they lost, saw the North East side compete with The Gunners.

Arsenal enjoyed a fine Champions League display against Porto in midweek, but they must forget that 5-0 win and concentrate on getting back to Premier League duty. This game is simply one they must win if they have real thoughts of the title. After moving to within two points of the top of the table, Arsene Wenger's men need to keep the pressure up on Chelsea and Man Utd. They can be expected to attack here and few would bet against them breaching the Hull backline.
