UEFA Euro 2012 Qualifiers Friday 3rd September 20:00 UK Time England need to recover from a terrible World Cup and during their friendly against Hungary last month still seemed to have some open wounds. The group they are in here could be tricky, with Wales a local derby, Switzerland a tough side to face and Montenegro tricky. Bulgaria aren't easy either, but they do appear to be a side in transition. At Wembley England should find a way to record a comfortable win and get their Euro 2012 qualifying campaign off to a good start. Bulgaria are far from the side which worked wonders at the 1994 World Cup, those days are a memory. This is a side firmly in transition and not quite living up to the potential which runs through it. Recent friendly results have been nothing but disappointing, with losses in Poland and Belgium standing out. There is little to suggest that Bulgaria have the fight to come back should England take the lead. England on the Asian Handicap look a good enough shout. Take Capello's boys on the -1.5 line at 2.05 or above with Tip-ex |
UEFA Euro 2012 Qualifiers Friday 3rd September 19:30 UK Time Slovakia enjoyed a reasonably good World Cup and actually could have even advanced further than the second round. That Slovakia were unlucky to lose to eventual finalists Holland hints at the talent within their team. Having had a taste of the big time, they can be counted upon to want to reach Euro 2012 even more. This is good opportunity to get off to a win, but Macedonia can be dangerous for sides who lose concentration. Coach Mirsad Jonuz has made Macedonia a tougher proposition for her opponents. At the start of June the country even recorded a 1-0 friendly win away to Romania and they are unbeaten in their last five international games. Macedonia can be a dangerous side to underestimate and should Slovakia do that are well capable of springing a surprise. Slovakia shouldn't slip up here and are clearly a class above Macedonia. So, any price above 1.50 for the hosts is well worth having. Best price at Tip-ex |

UEFA Euro 2012 Qualifiers Friday 3rd September 19:30 UK Time Estonia did not enjoy the best of campaigns to qualify for the World Cup, but have already picked up three points in this group by beating the Faroe Islands. However, the manner of the victory was not convincing at 2-1 and there is little to suggest Estonia will have more success now than they enjoyed in their last qualification effort. Friendly results have been mixed, but the main message is clear: Estonia struggle to score many goals. Italy arrive in Estonia will a new look after the debacle that was their World Cup campaign. New boss Cesare Prandelli knows that the time has come to switch to some younger faces, but that does not mean any drop in quality. Antonio Cassano will look to reclaim a spot and could striker up a lethal combination with club partner Giampaolo Pazzini. Prandelli will want a win to build confidence and for that a , slightly, attacking Azzurri can be expected. Italy want to banish their World Cup demons and Estonia are not a good side. It's a low price, but gobble up 1.40 or more for an Azzurri win with Tip-ex |
UEFA Euro 2012 Qualifiers Friday 3rd September 17:30 UK Time Moldova will hope to start their bid to reach Euro 2012 with a win here as they host Finland. The minnows are well capable of frustrating bigger countries, but often have difficulty keeping a clean sheet. Their best recent result was probably holding Greece to a 1-1 draw here and a repeat of that wouldn't be considered a disaster. Whether they liked it or not, the Moldovans know that the chances of them reaching Poland/Ukraine are slim . Finland were very unlucky to miss out on Euro 2008 and have come to accept they need to produce a near flawless campaign if they are to have any chance of qualifying. With Holland in their group it may well be the place that they are effectively competing with Sweden and Hungary for second place. However, to get that they simply need to win in places like Moldova. The traditional Finnish cautiousness must be abandoned. This is actually a big game for Finland, even so early on in the race to reach Euro 2012. So, at a price of 2.00 or above, they are worth taking at Tip-ex |
