  • Sean Kesluk

Sean Kesluk is a 16-year-old junior at the Harvard-Westlake School in Los Angeles, California. Always a soccer player and World Cup enthusiast, Sean discovered the beautiful game of ‘football’ through satellite TV in the spring of 2005, at which time he fell in love with Tottenham Hotspur and the English Premiership. Although the seduction was delicate and beautiful, the relationship as a Yiddo could only be described as tumultuous, and it has probably scarred him for life. Not intimated by the 7 am kickoff, Sean regularly watches the EPL. He has begun to refer to the game as ‘football’, annoying most of his compatriots, and he’ll probably spell words like ‘rumor’ funny. Though Sean has never set foot across the pond, he has made significant efforts to interact with the sport; he was involved in a minor altercation with Chelsea captain John Terry at their UCLA training facility, and although David Beckham, despite being impressed with his goalkeeping, refused an Inside Futbol exclusive, Sean will continue to work his contacts for one.

  • Dave Johnstone

Dave Johnstone is currently studying Media and Communications at Bournemouth University in the hope of one day making a career out of sports journalism. He has supported Brentford Football Club all his life and believes that traditional football culture is alive and well in the lower leagues. Dave is also a member of the supporters trust Bees United which owns the controlling stake in the club. He believes current football reporting is far too sensationalist and in depth reporting and writing is needed to keep supporters up to date with both club and country. Dave is currently working on articles for Brentford’s programme and believes fans should be more active in the running of their clubs. He mostly reports on English football as he finds the level support of the game throughout the country and for so many teams is truely remarkable.

  • Artem Chobanian

Artem Chobanian graduated from Kharkiv National Pedagogical University in 1999. Works as an editor/proofreader in a publishing company. A keen supporter of Manchester United and the national team of France. Once played football for the second Metalist Kharkiv team intending to become a professional, but had to leave the game due to several reasons. Does not have a favourite player, except for Pele, of course, but thinks there are “kings of football” like Platini, Zidane, Franz Beckenbauer, Eusebio, Yashin, Blohin and many others who made this game popular all over the world! Likes English Premier League football most of all, considers it the strongest league in the world. Wishes to live in Spain or Scotland — his two dream-countries. Hopes that countries like Ukraine, Russia, Romania and others will have stronger football championships to challenge the leading European leagues in UEFA competitions.

  • Stephen Maio

Stephen Maio is 23 years old and was born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. He will be coaching the WMFA Police youth team this summer. Stephen takes an interest in soccer both on and off the field. Although he is a fan of all Italian soccer, he has supported Juventus since he was young.  In his spare time he enjoys physical fitness, traveling, and spending time with his girlfriend Amanda.

He used to play college soccer for his university’s varsity team. Outside football, his hobbies are weightlifting and writing, where he enjoys writing about the modern issues of football.

  • Lang Hunter

Lang Hunter is from Northern Ireland and lives just outside Valencia, Spain. Between fighting with the realisation that his 40th is just around the corner and that it’s going to be another few years before Aston Villa grab the Premiership title, he designs Websites for a living and frequents as many tapas beach bars as is humanely possible - when there’s no Premiership or La Liga games on, of course. He supports Aston Villa FC, but has also adopted Valencia CF while watching La Liga. Best footy memory; Gerry Armstrong scoring (at the now) Mestalla Stadium in Valencia as NI went on to beat Spain 1-0 in the World Cup finals in 1982 (you would have thought that they would have learnt their lesson from then, but, alas no. 25 years on, David Healy scares the living bayjaysus out of them once more with a hat-trick to win 3-2 at Windsor Park, Belfast).

  • Rahul Rao

Rahul is a student living in Berkeley, California. He is a passionate supporter of Real Madrid, the Spain & Croatia national teams, and MLS’ finest: the San Jose Earthquakes. He has been watching football since the 1998 World Cup where he saw one of his heroes, Croatian Davor Suker, take the Golden Boot for being the top scorer of the tournament. Some of his favorite players are: Fernando Hierro, Gabriel Batistuta, Raul Gonzalez, Iker Casillas, Zinedine Zidane, Davor Suker, Roberto Carlos, Dwayne DeRosario, Luis Figo, Jurgen Klinsmann, and Gianfranco Zola. His most emotional footballing moments were when Spain were knocked out of the World Cup 2002 against South Korea due to some suspicious officiating, when Real Madrid won the 2002 Champions League against Bayer Leverkusen (Zizou anyone?), and when his favorite Spanish team mounted an incredible comeback on the last day of the 2006-2007 La Liga. Rahul tends to favour under- rated teams (not Derby County under- rated), partially because of his religious-like following of La Liga where even the smallest teams can defeat the giants of the game.
