Nicklas Bendtner has interest from clubs in Russia, his agent has admitted.

The Denmark international is currently on a season-long loan at Italian champions Juventus from English giants Arsenal – but all is not going smoothly in Turin.

Bendtner has struggled to claim a place in the Juventus starting eleven, while recently he was arrested for drink driving in Copenhagen and banned from international football for six months by the Danish Football Association.

Juventus look highly unlikely to seek to make Bendtner's loan permanent, leaving the striker looking for a new club in the summer, with a return to Arsenal unpalatable.

And there is interest from Russia.

"We've had contact several times with Russian teams", the striker's agent Tom Brooks told Russian daily Izvestia.

"In addition, interest has been shown in Nicklas by English and Italian clubs and the player would like to play regularly in the Champions League.

"In recent years a large number of talented players have gone to Russia. And if a solid proposal arrives, we will consider it before deciding Nicklas' future."

The Russian sides thought to be keen on Bendtner are Anzhi Makhachkala and Zenit St. Petersburg.
