The transfer net could be closing around Lazio midfielder Hernanes, with his agent working overtime on his behalf.

The Brazilian is looking for pastures new as he eyes pushing for a place in his country's team for this summer's World Cup, which will be hosted in his homeland.

Lazio are thought to want around €15m to sell Hernanes, who has a contract in Rome until the summer of 2015.

According to Italian daily Il Tempo, Hernanes' agent Joseph Lee is in England today, where he has fielded enquires from Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur in recent days.

Within Italy, Inter are serious in their interest and a switch to Walter Mazzarri's men remains a possibility for the 28-year-old.

Lee is also expected to travel to Spain, where Atletico Madrid have kept an eye on his client's situation.

Hernanes joined Lazio in 2010 from Sao Paulo.

He quickly established himself at the Serie A side and has continued to be an important piece of their jigsaw, making 15 Italian top flight appearances this season.
