Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini is ready to sell Paulo Dybala after hitting a brick walls in talks over a new contract for the in-demand striker.

Dybala, who has been compared with countryman Sergio Aguero, has been in fine form for Palermo in Serie A this term and as such attracted interest from Liverpool, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus.

Zamparini has been firm in his desire to keep hold of the striker for a little longer however and initiated talks over an extended contract, offering the maximum salary Palermo can afford.

But the absence of a deal means the president is now willing to talk selling Dybala, even though he insists the striker will cost top dollar. And he admitted negotiations have completed halted.

Zamparini explained to Tuttosport: "We were talking about a contract renewal and I guaranteed the maximum salary for Palermo, €1m. Then he lost all sense of reality, has completely changed, and I don't talk to him anymore.

"I was disappointed."

The Palermo supremo admits that Juventus CEO Giuseppe Marotta has been quick to pick up the phone to lodge his interest, but was told he cannot afford Dybala.

"Marotta called me and I told me I'd love to sell him to Juve because then at least he would remain in Italy. I also said, however, that I do not think he has enough money to have him.

"They do not have the big money, they don't have oil money, the money of Nasser [Al-Khelaifi, PSG president] and [Roman] Abramovich [Chelsea owner]."

Dybala, 21, has hit the back of the net eleven times in 21 games in Serie A so far this season. The Argentine has also registered seven assists.
