Swansea City striker Fernando Llorente has stated he believes Paul Pogba possesses the ability to become the best player in the world if he desires, ahead of the Swans’ Premier League meeting with Manchester United on Sunday.

Pogba, who was roped in by Manchester United from Juventus for a world record fee of £89m in the summer, is yet to make his mark at Old Trafford.

The France international has thus far made 14 appearances in all competitions for the Red Devils, scoring three times.

However, Llorente, who played alongside Pogba at Juventus between 2013 and 2015, is of the opinion that the midfielder is capable of becoming the best player in the world.

The Spaniard went on to add that he feels “very honoured” to have shared a dressing room with Pogba, who scored 34 times and set up 43 goals in 178 games for Juventus.

“I think Pogba above all is a great person – he’s a good friend and I experienced great times with him at Juventus”, Llorente told Swansea’s official site.

“I feel very honored to have shared a changing room with a player like him.

“He doesn’t have limits. He can achieve anything he wants to.

“He has the ability to be the best player in the world if he wants.”

Pogba, who is in his second spell at Manchester United, limped off in the 30th minute during his side’s 2-1 loss to Fenerbahce in the Europa League on Thursday night.
