Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko’s contract details ahead of his move to AC Milan have been revealed, it has been claimed in Italy.

The Frenchman, who joined Chelsea just last summer from Monaco, is on the verge of joining AC Milan on loan with the Rossoneri reserving an option to buy him.

He underwent a medical at the club’s facilities yesterday and is expected to be announced as an AC Milan player in the coming hours.

The Rossoneri will be paying a loan fee of €5m to Chelsea and the option to buy the Frenchman has been set at a fee of €35m.

And according to Italian daily Corriere della Sera, Bakayoko has agreed to sign a contract worth €2.5m per year, which is considerably less than he was earning at Chelsea.

It remains to be seen whether the midfielder has agreed to take a pay cut or Chelsea have decided to pay a portion of his wages to push through the move.

Chelsea signed the Frenchman last summer as a long term replacement for Nemanja Matic, who joined Manchester United.

However, Bakayoko struggled to make an impact at Chelsea and failed to hold down a spot in the starting eleven throughout his first season at the club.
