Millwall striker Lee Gregory insists that his team are forgetting all about the past and are wanting to start fresh with a match against rivals Leeds United this weekend.

The Yorkshire giants visit the Den this weekend as they resume their journey in the Championship after international break.

Both sides will have reasons of their own to perform well in the match, with the visitors looking to strengthen their grip on the top of the table, while the Lions attempt to get back to winning ways after three straight league losses.

Millwall's form against the Peacocks will give Neil Harris' side that added confidence, having won their last two encounters against their bitter rivals.

Gregory insists that his team's aim will be to rectify the mistakes they committed against Swansea City and get back to winning ways after the refreshing international break.

“We’re forgetting about the bad week”, Gregory told his club's official website.

“It’s about starting fresh, and what a game to come back into – Leeds at home is one that it doesn’t get much bigger than for Millwall.

"The break has been good – but then again, when you make mistakes like we did [against Swansea] then you want to rectify them as soon as possible.

“Whether we had a break or not, we just have to take it on the chin and accept it is what it is.

"A break can be good, and hopefully it can help now that we’re preparing for Leeds this Saturday.”

Millwall have a series of games ahead of them with the match against Leeds being followed by trips to Queens Park Rangers on 19th September and then West Bromwich Albion on 22nd September.
