Vincent Janssen is set to be shipping out by Tottenham Hotspur in the summer, despite being brought back into the first team squad, with the door still firmly closed on the Dutchman.

Spurs tried to offload the striker last summer, but found no takers, while in the January transfer window a move could still not be found for the Netherlands international.

Janssen has been brought back into the first team fold after training with and playing for the Under-23s.

But little should be read into it, according to Football London, as the door is still firmly shut on any form of long term future at Spurs for Janssen.

While the 24-year-old could be thrown the odd minute on the pitch if injuries mount, Tottenham are still set to move him on in the summer.

Returning to the first team squad is seen as a token gesture towards Janssen and does not signify that he is working his way back into Mauricio Pochettino's plans.

Janssen has suffered with a foot injury this season, finding himself restricted to just two appearances in the Premier League 2, scoring a single goal.

His deal with Spurs runs until 2020.
