Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius is expecting to continue his spell at Besiktas into next season.

Karius joined the Turkish giants on a two-season loan deal from Liverpool last summer, but there has been persistent speculation that Besiktas could cut it short.

Besiktas have been linked with wanting to re-sign goalkeeper Fabri from Fulham, something which would then lead the club to discuss terminating Karius' loan with Liverpool.

But Karius has been in good form in recent weeks and although he could not help Besiktas avoid defeat at Trabzonspor on Saturday, he indicated that his future looks set to still be in Istanbul.

"[It] looks like I am going to continue here", the German shot-stopper was quoted as saying by Turkish daily Hurriyet.

"If all parties are satisfied, I'll stay here", he added.

The defeat against Trabzonspor leaves Besiktas sitting in third place in the Turkish Super Lig with just one game left to play; Trabzonspor have closed to within two points of the Black Eagles.

Besiktas finish their campaign at home against Kasimpasa next weekend.

With Liverpool's second choice goalkeeper in Simon Mignolet looking to quit Anfield this coming summer, if Karius does not return to Merseyside, the Reds may be looking for another shot-stopper to provide cover for Alisson.
