The representatives of Aston Villa target Denzel Dumfries are scheduled to hold talks with Inter Milan soon to discuss his future at the club.

The Dutchman has a year left on his contract at Inter and has been heavily linked with a move away from the Nerazzurri at the end of the season.

Aston Villa are amongst the clubs who are interested in getting their hands on Dumfries in the summer transfer window.

Inter are prepared to sell him if they cannot reach an agreement over a new deal with the player in the coming months.

According to Italian news outlet FcInterNews.it, a new meeting has been scheduled between Inter and the Dumfries’ representatives.

The Nerazzurri are keen to hear the demands of the player and his agents during the scheduled conversations.

A new contract will be discussed but Inter are serious about not wanting to overpay in terms of wages.

If there is a wide discrepancy between what Dumfries wants and what Inter are prepared to fork out, the club are ready to sell him.

Dumfries would want to move to a club of a similar stature and is claimed to not feel Aston Villa fit the bill at present.
