Wolves loan star Yerson Mosquera has admitted he would like to stay at La Liga side Villarreal.

The Colombian defender returned to Wolves following a spell at MLS side FC Cincinnati and was quickly then sent for another loan spell, this time in Spain at Villarreal.

Mosquera is happy with how his time in Spain has unfolded so far, but there remain question marks over his future following the conclusion of the loan.

For the Colombian, remaining at Villarreal would be a welcome solution and he has admitted he would like to do so.

Mosquera though admits that he is not the only party that has to agree.

“I have said it before – I like Villarreal and La Liga and I want to be able to continue providing what I can to the team”, the Wolves loan star was quoted as saying by Marca.

“I know that not everything depends on me, but for my part I leave everything open so that an agreement can be reached.”

The Wolves defender believes that Villarreal offer a good chance for him to develop and stressed he has been welcomed with open arms.

“It is a project that would help me grow.

“I am open to the possibility because I have felt very comfortable here.

“That is essential, how they welcome you as a family.”

Villarreal currently sit in ninth place in La Liga and are next in action away at bottom club Almeria.
