Real Madrid target Angel Di Maria has made his clearest indication, according to Spanish paper AS, that he will be joining the La Liga giants next season. New manager Jose Mourinho has singled out the flanks as the weakest point of the Madrid squad, and is determined to land a winger before the summer transfer ends.

Sevilla’s Jesus Navas is also being linked to Real, but it is Di Maria that seems more likely to complete the move, after reports claim the Argentinean told his team-mates, “Friends, I will be playing for Real Madrid next season.”

Despite Benfica’s intent to keep Di Maria at the club, it seems Real Madrid have already won the battle in acquiring the exceptional 22-year-old’s services for next season.
