Inside Futbol is a website dedicated to bringing you news and opinion from across the football continent of Europe. 

We don’t believe the game ends at the borders of Germany or Italy to East and we understand the passion of supporters in every country. 

Of course, we don’t neglect the big countries, like England, Spain, Italy, France and Germany. But we also want to show you another world closer to home than you might think. The passion of Greek football, the emerging Russian league fuelled by oil money and oligarchs, the pressure cooker of Turkish football and the technical skill of Romania’s Liga I.

Love him or hate him, Michel Platini has a similar vision, trying to reform the Champions League to give clubs from smaller countries a more equal piece of the pie. So the argument goes, if they have more money and opportunity, their leagues will grow further and quicker and maybe they will be able to hold on to some of that talent that naturally gravitates westwards.

The Champions League is also giving us an opportunity to see teams from beyond our own borders and Inside Futbol will give you a closer look at their players, politics and league as a whole.
