Turkish giants Fenerbahce are keen to snap up free agent William Gallas to bolster their defensive options.

The Istanbul side, who were surprisingly dumped out of the Champions League by Young Boys Bern, believe Gallas could be an ideal signing and even more so since he will not command a fee.

Gallas has already turned down a concrete offer from Greek side Panathinaikos this summer, refusing to join countrymen Djibril Cisse and Sidney Govou in Athens. It remains to be seen whether Fenerbahce’s offer will be more to the Frenchman’s liking.
