Former Chelsea and Atletico Madrid striker Mateja Kezman has brought his unhappy spell with Paris Saint-Germain to an end.

The 31-year-old joined the Ligue 1 giants from Turkish club Fenerbahce in 2008 for €5M, but failed to impress in the French capital. Kezman was also loaned out to Zenit St. Petersburg last year, scoring twice in 10 games.

The Serbian forward expressed his relief at ending his spell with PSG: "For a long time I kept hoping that things were changing. But when you see it does not and you do not play even though other strikers do not score, you question yourself. I realised that there was no future [at PSG]."

Kezman has now stated his desire to continue his playing career either in Qatar or the United States, seeking desperately to get back on track.
