Chelsea are reported to have scouted Genk forward Kevin De Bruyne as they continue to plan for the future.

The 19-year-old came to Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti’s attention recently due to glowing assessments of the player’s performances in the Belgian top flight. Despite his tender years, De Bruyne has already clocked up over 35 appearances for Genk since he made his debut in 2008.

De Bruyne has also starred for Belgium’s Under-19 team, who have earned rave reviews as the country continues to produce players tipped for a bright future.

Chelsea would no doubt have to dig deep to persuade Genk to part with their highly rated forward though, with De Bruyne under contract at the Cristal Arena until 2015.
