Klaas-Jan Huntelaar’s agent has denied receiving an approach from Juventus. The Dutch striker, currently plying his trade with Schalke in the Bundesliga, has been linked with a return to Serie A having flopped with AC Milan last year.

Juventus are known to be on the lookout for a new striker and Huntelaar’s name has surfaced in recent days, with some reports suggesting that Mohamed Sissoko, a Schalke target, could be a make-weight in any deal.

But Arnold Oosterveer, the striker’s agent, explained he had not heard word from Juventus just yet.

"I have read with Klaas the interest of Juventus in the newspapers, but the reality is that Juventus have not called and there has not been contract in this regard with Schalke."

And Oosterveer admitted that Huntelaar is happy in Germany.

"Klaas came just six months ago, but is finding it very nice at Schalke."
