Arsenal target Stephane Mbia has pledged his immediate future to Marseille by insisting that although he appreciates the football played in the English Premier League, he has no intention of leaving Marseille.

The 24-year-old Cameroonian, who can operate in central defence and as a defensive midfielder, has long been linked with a move to Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal and his arrival at the Emirates would add real bite to the Frenchman’s midfield.

Mbia only joined Marseille in 2009, with the Stade Velodrome outfit paying £10M for his services, and the player going on to become a crucial part of last season’s Ligue 1 winning side. But an exit, despite that success, is not on the cards.

"I like the kind of football they play in England", said Mbia to La Provence, "but I have no intention of leaving Marseille because I feel very well here."
