Fulham are thought to be eyeing up an end of season swoop for Juventus goalkeeper Alex Manninger.

The Austrian currently plays second fiddle at the Old Lady to world-class custodian Gianluigi Buffonn in Turin, but has experience of the English Premier League through a spell with Arsenal before exiting the Gunners for Espanyol.

Well-travelled, Manninger is reported to fit the bill for Fulham boss Mark Hughes who is looking for an experienced keeper to succeed 38-year-old Mark Schwarzer.

33-year-old Manninger may well welcome the opportunity to fight for regular first team football at Craven Cottage after making less than 30 appearances in the last three years for the Bianconeri.
