German giants Bayern Munich are the latest side to check on the availability of Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi.

The Italian star has been attracting serious attention from both Real Madrid and Manchester United, with Roma thought to be prepared to consider high level bids.

Bayern are ready for a summer spending spree in the wake of their disappointing Bundesliga campaign this season, a campaign which saw Louis van Gaal leave his job as coach a year early.

Now the Allianz Arena outfit are rumoured to have set aside €30M for De Rossi if the player becomes available and, crucially, if he can be tempted to Munich ahead of Manchester and Madrid.

The attitude of De Rossi himself remains key, with Roma’s fans likely to be furious if new owner Thomas DiBenedetto sells a player regarded as one of their own.
