Newcastle United have been linked with a move for Liverpool striker David N’Gog. The French forward often found himself spearheading the Anfield side’s attack due to Fernando Torres’ repeated injury problems, however with the arrival of Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll, N’Gog looks set for much less playing time with the Reds.

And Newcastle, who are searching high and low to add at least two strikers to their books this summer, are thought to be pondering a move.

The 22-year-old would surely welcome the opportunity to switch to St. James’ Park if it meant regular first team football and the chance to finally make his mark in the Premier League.

Identified by former Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez, N’Gog arrived at Anfield in 2008, making the switch from Paris Saint-Germain. Instantly drawing comparisons with a young Nicolas Anelka, N’Gog has turned out to be a different kind of striker with his long leggy style.
