Maicon’s agent has denied that Inter will sell his client this summer, believing the Italian side are set to once again resist transfer bids for the full back.

The Brazilian was a target for Real Madrid last summer and the Spanish giants are expected to rekindle their interest this time around. Turkish outfit Besiktas too are thought to have contacted Inter over the player.

But Roberto Calenda, Maicon’s agent, has been told by Inter that they will not be listening to offer for his client, and it is a position he has no reason to doubt despite increased chatter from Turkey about the player ending up in Istanbul.

"With Inter there are daily contacts and I understand that he is not for sale", Calenda told Sky Sport 24.

"If an offer is known, we do not know about Besiktas. At the moment, I repeat, he is not for sale, though it is certain that in football you can never tell."
