A transfer scramble is developing for Lyon’s impressive midfield schemer Miralem Pjanic.

The 21-year-old has become disillusioned at the Stade Gerland and believes his chances of dislodging Yoann Gourcuff for the midfield role he badly wants are slim. Therefore the Bosnian is ready to quit the Ligue 1 giants.

And it is this which has alerted a number of sides, including Galatasaray, Lazio and Wolfsburg.

Wolfsburg especially are searching for a replacement for Brazilian midfielder Diego, who is still expected to exit the Volkswagen Arena this summer. Pjanic, the Germans believe, could slot perfectly into Diego’s role.

Galatasaray are intent on a big summer as they bid to haul themselves back to the top of the Turkish Super Lig, while Italian side Lazio have targeted a Champions League spot for next season.

Pjanic will not come cheaply however, with Lyon continuing to rate the Bosnia international highly.
