Tottenham Hotspur are not willing to offer more than €15M for the services of Montenegrin striker Mirko Vucinic.

According to Sky Sport 24, the hitman’s agent Alessandro Lucci travelled to London to open talks with the White Hart Lane outfit and had been hopeful of some upward movement to push Roma to sell his client.

However, Harry Redknapp’s side stood firm and informed Lucci that even though Spurs want Vucinic to bolster their attacking options for next season, they will not be held to ransom for his services.

The ball now appears to be firmly in Roma’s court, with Vucinic ready to end his stay in the Italian capital to move to London.

Whether the Giallorossi will accept Spurs’ €15M bid remains to be seen however, with the club’s sporting director Walter Sabatini admitting that although the Montenegro international wants to leave, Roma are not actively looking to sell the striker.

"Vucinic requested a transfer", explained Sabatini, "but the club’s intentions were to keep hold of him."
